About The Position

Provides diagnostic radiographic exams of patient for use by physicians in the development of diagnoses and treatment plans.

Graduation from high school and graduation from an accredited school of radiology.
Valid American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography.
State of Nevada License in Radiology.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accepted by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Office Lab Assistant License within thirty (30) days of hire (applies only to employees hired into a Quick Care, Primary Care, Express Care, or other ambulatory care cost center as applicable and determined by leadership).

Trauma experience.
Ortho experience.
Knowledge of radiographic examination procedures and protocols; diagnostic x-ray equipment; quality assurance and quality control measures; personal computers; anatomy and physiology of the human body; contrast application and contrast reaction symptoms; venipuncture techniques; department and hospital safety practices and procedures; patient rights; infection control policies and practices; handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials; department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures; age specific patient care practices.
Skill in positioning patients properly to maximize results; using diagnostic x-ray exam equipment; preparing and administering contrast solutions; applying radiation safety principles; applying aseptic principles; communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; efficient, effective and safe use of equipment.
