About The Position

We are seeking expressions of interest from Registered Psychologists, Provisional Psychologists, and individuals pursuing registration in psychology as part of our long-term planning and continued growth. This is an anticipatory opportunity intended to help us connect with the right person in a thoughtful and flexible way. Our growing team provides quality early intervention services to children from birth – 5 years of age throughout the Yukon. We work as a transdisciplinary team and provide assessment, consultation and intervention for children with a wide variety of needs. We have the opportunity to work with Indigenous children and families and build strong cultural connections. Travel to rural communities may be required. Relocation allowance is available. Requirements

  • Registered Psychologist interested in future or ongoing work with an established team
  • Provisional Psychologist seeking to complete supervision hours
  • Psychology candidate working toward registration
  • Interested in working with young children from birth to 5 years of age
  • Interested in mentorship for other registered psychologists, professional development, and long-term growth
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, family-centered environment
  • Compassionate, professional, reliable, and committed to ethical, evidence-informed psychological services
  • Strong communication skills
  • Sound judgment
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Training in play therapy

Responsibilities

  • Providing psychological services for children from birth to 5 years of age, including: Developmental, behavioural, and psychological assessment and intervention
  • Consultation with families, caregivers, and other professionals
  • Collaboration with team members
