Registered Psychiatric Nurse N2 - Intensive Treatment Service
About The Position
Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Pensionable Salary Enhancement - Nurses in eligible classifications may be eligible to earn an additional $5.95/hour when working full-time hours within a prescribed six-month reporting period. (Effective April 1, 2025 – March 31st 2027.) Reporting to the Manager Health Services, the Nurse is responsible for the delivery of direct client care, the planning, implementation, implementation and evaluation of client treatment plans; the administration and evaluation of medications and health care procedures; the provision of therapeutic clinical interventions and effective milieu management; the establishment of professional working relationships within the multidisciplinary team and community; and community resource identification and utilization. The functions are undertaken consistent with the Manitoba Adolescent Treatment Centre’s established philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures and standards of Professional Practice and Code of Ethics outlined by the CPNAM and MARN professional bodies.
Requirements
- Experience in psychiatry is essential.
- Graduate from an approved program in Psychiatric Nursing or Nursing.
- Responsible for maintaining and providing proof of active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
- Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA)/Registered Psychiatric Nurses Act.
Nice To Haves
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health experience preferred.
- B.Sc.P.N., B.Sc. M.H. or B.Sc.N. preferred.
- Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
Responsibilities
