About The Position

Join the County of Elgin as a Part-time RPN at Terrace Lodge! Terrace Lodge is a 100-bed long-term care home in the Township of Malahide. Our home is situated in beautiful Elgin County and features private and semi-private accommodation with 24-hour nursing care. Outdoor areas to relax with family, as well as living and dining areas, are available for resident enjoyment. A host of entertainment and recreational programs, animal-assisted therapy, spiritual care, and exercise programming are available.

Requirements

• Registered Practical Nurse education
• Provides evidence of Pharmacology and Aseptic Technique preparation
• Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse
• Current Standard First Aid with CPR Level HCP or BLS Certification
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Health & Safety Procedures
• Familiarity with Resident Bill of Rights
• Familiarity with Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021
• Familiarity with Point Click Care
• Demonstrates a commitment to the delivery of safe, efficient care to the personal needs of residents.
• Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening that is satisfactory to the County of Elgin.
• Satisfactory 2-step Tuberculosis (TB) screening documentation.

Responsibilities

• As a member of the nursing team, and in consultation with the Registered Nurse, you are involved in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care.
• You will use your clinical skills to ensure that every resident receives the care they need and deserve delivered with quality, compassion, and consistency.
