About The Position

Functions as an active member of a multidisciplinary team in the provision of patient-focused care for the Rehab/Geriatric Unit. The successful candidate will collaborate with other health care professionals in the planning and implementation of care for a wide variety of Rehab/Geriatric cases.

Requirements

Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire
Medication administration and aseptic technique certification mandatory.
1-2 years experience in the Rehab/Geriatric setting.
Strong geriatric/medical/surgical background.
Advanced RPN assessment skills (i.e. catheterization care, skin/wound care).
Caring and compassionate attitude towards patients and families.
Able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary Rehab team setting
Satisfactory employment and attendance record required.
Good communication skills with a clear patient focus.

Responsibilities
