Registered Practical Nurse - TCU
About The Position
Carecor is seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to join their team, working in Transitional Care Unit (TCU) facilities in the Scarborough Area. Under the direction of the facility charge nurse or registered nurse, RPNs will provide care in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario, Carecor's Standards of Practice, and the assigned healthcare facility's guidelines. The goal is to foster an environment of optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients. Each assignment will be for a full 8-hour shift at a single facility. This is a casual position with flexible shifts.
Requirements
- Registered Practical Nurse Diploma
- Current Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) licensure in good standing with the College of Nurse of Ontario
- Minimum of 300 hours of experience in a medical-surgical Long Term Care setting within the past two years
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate
- Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, pertussis, polio, hepatitis B
- Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one year or negative chest x-ray within the past five years
- Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire
- Provide proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination prior to their start date.
