About The Position

Home Care Assistance is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for a community client in the Barrie area. This role requires experience in GTUBE medication administration and feeding. The shifts are daytime, and availability every other weekend is mandatory. The RPN will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, providing medication support, responding to emergencies, completing reports, and communicating with families, all while adhering to the Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Requirements

• Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
• Vulnerable sector screen and 2 satisfactory professional references
• Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
• GTUBE med experienced, comfortable with managing emergencies.
• Must have a valid license and reliable vehicle
• Effective time management skills to work under specified time constraints and in accordance with job routines, while observing policies and procedures as well as applicable work standards and safety regulations

Responsibilities

• Conducting assessments and reassessments
• Developing, monitoring, and updating plans of care, as assigned
• Providing medication support and administration
• Responding to all emergency situations
• Completing reports and communicating with the family about any changes in care
• Meeting the Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario at all times
• All other duties, as assigned
