About The Position
The Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) provides basic and advanced polysomnography (PSG) services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The role performs standard and advanced PSG studies and uses basic and complex physiologic monitoring. The technologist also participates in training, cross-training, product evaluation, research, and technology development. Services are delivered in all areas of the hospital and in the laboratory setting. The role includes departmental duties during the day and night as required, along with monitoring and respiratory-related duties during studies. The technologist works with indirect, minimal supervision and makes many independent decisions. CarolinaEast Health System provides care across the Coastal Carolina region. It operates a 350-bed medical center and employs more than 3,200 team members. Requirements
- Registry-eligible status is required; candidates must obtain the RPSGT credential within one year from the date of hire.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
