About The Position
This is an opportunity for a Registered Polysomnography Technician in the Capital Region. The technician will perform various types of sleep testing procedures, identify abnormalities, and adhere to department standards to produce high-quality records. The Registered Polysomnography Technician acts as a resource person for the Licensed Polysomnography Technician.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Polysomnography program with an AAS, registered (RPSGT) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists and a valid Polysomnogram License in NYS.
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program with an AAS and a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy License in NYS.
- One to three years' experience in a sleep lab.
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use applied technology in a clinical setting.
Nice To Haves
- Sleep disorder specialist add-on or registered (RPSGT) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist.
