About The Position

A Polysomnographic Technologist works under the general supervision of the clinical director to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. The technologist will be able to perform 16-channel polysomnography and associated patient care and education. This includes, but is not limited to: applying electrodes and sensors, calibrations of equipment, ensuring quality data collection and diagnostic procedures. The technologist must also provide accurate scoring, documentation and implement a variety of PAP therapies. A Polysomnographic Technologist can perform the duties defined for a Polysomnographic Technician and may provide supervision of other staff.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an associate degree in a polysomnography program OR a polysomnography program of at least one year in duration through a state-licensed and/or nationally accredited educational institution, or equivalent experience with documented proficiency in all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician.
• Current certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT), or an equivalent credential.
• BLS Certified.
