About The Position

Care Alliance Health Center is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team. This role supports the delivery of safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services while working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. As a Registered Pharmacy Technician, you will play an important role in supporting medication access, pharmacy operations, patient service, and compliance within a community-focused healthcare setting.

Requirements

  • Active registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy in good standing
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail, hospital, clinic, or community pharmacy setting
  • Proficiency with pharmacy dispensing software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to accurately prepare and process prescription information under pharmacist supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a 340B pharmacy, Federally Qualified Health Center, community health center, or Medicaid-focused practice
  • Experience with EPIC Willow or other electronic health record and pharmacy management systems
  • Bilingual skills, including Spanish or other languages reflective of the patient population served

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process prescription orders under pharmacist supervision.
  • Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification.
  • Enter patient, insurance, and prescription information into the pharmacy management system.
  • Assist with medication reconciliation activities and prior authorization documentation.
  • Process prescription refill requests for pharmacist review.
  • Communicate with providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding prescription status as directed.
  • Support 340B program compliance, patient eligibility verification, split-billing activities, and audit readiness.
  • Assist with inventory management, including stocking, rotating, monitoring, and removing expired medications.
  • Provide courteous and culturally responsive customer service to patients.
  • Assist patients with medication assistance programs, sliding fee information, and prescription-related questions.
  • Refer medication counseling and clinical questions to the pharmacist.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow HIPAA, HRSA, Ohio Board of Pharmacy, and organizational requirements.
  • Participate in pharmacy quality improvement initiatives and audits.
