About The Position
Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a part-time Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Pharmasave in Salmon Arm, BC. Availability needed: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9am-5:30pm (occasional Saturdays).
Requirements
- Licensed and in good standing with British Columbia College of Pharmacists
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a team environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience with compounding
- Familiarity with Kroll and billing
Responsibilities
- Receive and accurately transcribe verbal prescriptions from healthcare providers
- Ensure patient safety through accurate and high-quality preparation and release of medications
- Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies
- Process prescriptions by entering orders, counting, measuring, compounding, and packaging medications
- Perform final checks on prepared prescriptions for accuracy and safety
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards
- Oversee Pharmacy Assistants to ensure efficient and safe prescription filling
