About The Position
Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of prepared medications, maintaining legal compliance, and managing inventory of controlled substances. The position involves checking prescriptions, ensuring corrections are made, and efficiently processing products to meet delivery schedules. Requirements
- Licensed and registered with the College of Pharmacists as Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT), in good standing.
- Liability insurance to legally practice as a RPhT.
- A minimum of 1 year of continuous working experience in a pharmacy environment (Long Term Care, Hospital, or Retail).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Complete work with minimal supervision.
- Teammate and Leadership skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with high volume filling environments is preferred.
- Experience working with PacMed or PacVision is an asset.
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring accuracy of prepared medication by checking each prescription and ensuring legal compliance and product quality.
- Checking weekly strip packaged medications, compliance packages, and all non-packaged products.
- Ensuring appropriate corrections are completed when identified.
- Accurately counting and reconciling Narcotic and Controlled medications.
- Checking products in an organized and efficient manner to maintain workflow and ensure delivery routes leave at their scheduled times.
- Protecting patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with regulations.
- Keeping current with and aligning with legal requirements, professional standards, and workplace policies and procedures.
