About The Position

Performs the essential duties and responsibilities of a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT). Ensure the accurate delivery of medications to the appropriate Hospital personnel in a timely fashion under the supervision of a pharmacist. Be responsible for ensuring proper storage of medications as well as maintaining correct medication charges.

Requirements

Must either register with the state as a pharmacy technician trainee and MUST take a Board approved pharmacy technician certification exam within ONE year of employment
Board approved pharmacy technician certification exam can be obtained either from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) OR be certified either through PTCB or NHA and registered with the state as a Pharmacy Technician
Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear.
Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. or non-clinical staff.
The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.

Nice To Haves

Prefer to have some pharmacy experience and basic knowledge of pharmacy workflow
