About The Position

Quality RX is a woman-owned, closed-door pharmacy based in Carmel, Indiana, that provides medication for county jail settings. The Registered Pharmacist works with pharmacy staff, Quality Correctional Care staff, and county staff to provide medications to inmates and facilities. This in-person position is based in Carmel, Indiana, with pharmacy hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

Must be licensed in the state of Indiana.
Graduate degree from an accredited pharmacy college recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).

Nice To Haves

Retail pharmacy experience is preferred.
Experience with FrameWork is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Comply with current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulations.
Comply with court orders, medical department rules, and Quality RX policies and procedures.
Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate therapy, and interactions, and promptly communicate discrepancies to providers to prevent disruptions in patient care.
Process, package, and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
Maintain controlled-substance records and remove outdated or damaged drugs from pharmacy inventory.
Manage inventory closely and cost-effectively.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure their work is accurate.
Recommend improved procedures, equipment, and supplies to the Supervisor.
Participate in periodic drug utilization reviews of facilities.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Present or participate in in-service education sessions.
Maintain a professional attitude at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
