About The Position

Encompass Health is hiring Registered Nurses for full-time and 16-week short-term contract roles in inpatient rehabilitation. Nurses provide individualized, compassionate care that supports patients’ recovery and rehabilitation goals, using specialized skills and available technology. The role includes supervising care and treatments, assessing patients, tailoring care plans, addressing patient concerns, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and providing direct patient care when needed. Short-term contract nurses may have a pathway to transition into full-time roles.

Requirements

• Valid RN licensure as required by state regulations.
• CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification.
• CRRN certification.
• One year of experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patient care and treatments.
• Lead patient assessments, tailor care plans, and address patient concerns.
• Build relationships with patients and their families and understand their needs to facilitate recovery.
• Collaborate and communicate with various departments to coordinate care.
• Provide direct patient care when needed.
• Serve as a resource for fellow staff members regarding complex patient needs and inquiries.
• Recognize and celebrate patient victories and milestones.
