About The Position

St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for infusion care. The RN provides direct nursing care to specified patients, including supportive care and prescribed chemotherapy, blood components, fluid and electrolyte replacements, and other oncology treatments. The role also includes assessing and triaging patient care needs, educating and supporting patients and their families, and following departmental quality, safety, environmental, and infection-control standards.

Requirements

• New York Registered Nurse (RN) license and registration.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• Oncology certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and supportive care to specified patients.
• Administer prescribed chemotherapy, blood components, fluid and electrolyte replacements, and other oncology treatments.
• Perform nursing assessments and triage care needs for new and ongoing patients.
• Educate and support patients, families, and significant others.
• Serve as an information resource to students, health care professionals, patients, and the public.
• Follow departmental policies, procedures, objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and infection-control standards.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
