About The Position

At Franciscan, our nurses do not just administer medication, but they actively listen and assess each patient – looking them in the eye and telling them they are seen, heard, and cared for. Every RN is an integral part in providing total comprehensive care to our patients and their families. Our nurses develop a plan of care, including implementing, reassessing, evaluating every patient we are privileged to serve. With 11 ministries and access points across Indiana, Franciscan Health is one of the Catholic health care systems in the Midwest. Franciscan Health takes pride in providing compassionate, comprehensive care for our patients and the communities we serve. This is a 27-bed Critical care step down unit with a team-oriented approach and a Strong Practice Council within the Unit. You will work with multidisciplinary units/teams to develop a care plan for patients and develop Critical Care skills to elevate patient care practice. The patient population is acuity adaptable with step down and critical care patients. Typical patient ratios are 1:3 or 1:4. This is a didactic learning experience in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Associate Degree from an accredited program is required
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state or as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)

Nice To Haves

BSN desirable
Experienced and new graduate Nurses are welcome
