Requirements

• Experience performing venipuncture and accessing ports to administer treatment.
• In-depth knowledge of the many types of infection treatments available and willingness to stay current in these areas.
• Experience with navigating Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, OSHA, and other safety guidelines.
• Professional nursing degree.
• Tennessee State Nursing licensure.
• Current BLS certification upon hire.
• At least one year of prior nursing experience.
• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Lifting limited to 40 pounds or less.
• Manual dexterity, proper hand-eye coordination, a full range of motion to assist with lifting patients.
• Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and document chemotherapy and other infusion treatments for our patients according to treatment plans ordered by our oncology and hematology providers.
• Provide education on treatment and emotional support to patients.
• Serve as a resource for patients and other clinical team members regarding infection treatments.
• Communicate respectfully and promptly with team members to maintain quality patient care.
• Assist with any additional tasks.
