About The Position
The 7th Floor MS/Tele unit is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in a telemetry environment. The nurse will care for patients with medical/surgical overflow and non-acute stroke conditions. The selected candidate will join a highly functioning team described as supportive and family-oriented. Unit-specific orientation will be provided, and the role may require floating to other units as necessary. The unit is a 32-bed telemetry unit with patient ratios of 4:1 for 50% of patients and 5:1 for 50%. Nurse aide ratios average 8:1 or 10:1. The unit uses centralized telemetry, with registered nurses validating telemetry strips.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry settings.
- BLS certification.
- NIHSS certification.
- Demonstrated EPIC experience.
- Ability to titrate drips, including insulin and pain medications.
Responsibilities
