Registered Nurse - Adolescent/Young Adult PHP/IOP - Deerfield
About The Position
The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care for patients ages 12–22 in an adolescent and young adult psychiatry program. The role is based at the Deerfield PHP/IOP location, with flexibility to float to Evanston and Swedish Hospitals as needed. The schedule is full time, either 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. The nurse independently provides safe, effective, and compassionate care; uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; directs assigned unlicensed assistive personnel; and collaborates with the healthcare team to support patient outcomes and continuity of care. The nurse also contributes to safety outcomes and a high-quality patient experience.
Requirements
- Current professional nursing licensure in the State of Illinois.
- BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider.
- Minimum of one year of current hospital nursing experience.
Nice To Haves
- BSN degree preferred.
- Previous psychiatric experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for adolescent and young adult psychiatric patients ages 12–22.

- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel, such as mental health associates, in delivering psychiatric patient care.
- Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team members to support optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
