About The Position

Providence Healthcare of Thomaston is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. The Registered Nurse, under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, will use their understanding of nursing principles and basic physical assessment skills to develop and implement individualized Nursing Care Plans. The role involves assisting with the orientation and supervision of Nursing personnel, managing the daily operations of the unit per shift, and potentially assuming leadership responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• Must have a current Registered Nurse License issued in the state where the person will practice.
• Must be a graduate of an approved school of Nursing.
• Possess physical assessment skills.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in geriatric or rehabilitative Nursing.
• Experience in a supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a general understanding of the principles of Nursing and basic physical assessment skills in the development of and implementation of individualized Nursing Care Plans.
• Ensure that the needs of the customers are met.
• Assist in the orientation of and supervision of Nursing personnel.
• Attend to the daily operations of the unit on a per shift, unit level.
• Assume responsibilities of a leadership role as needed.
