About The Position

This position is at the Harcourt Ambulatory Surgery Center, focusing on Pre/Post-operative care. It is a full-time day shift role. The Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center, a teaching facility located on the north-side of Indianapolis, specializes in hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder treatments. This ambulatory surgery center features three operating rooms and a patient services area for minor procedures. The staff work as a close-knit team to help patients regain their well-being. The position does not require weekends, holidays, nights, or call, and involves 10-hour shifts. Experience in ER, ICU, or PACU is required, and pre/post-op experience is preferred.

Requirements

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Experience in ER, ICU or PACU required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Pre/post experience preferred.
