RN Registered Nurse Day Shift
About The Position
Canon Lodge Care Center, part of Life Care Centers of America, is seeking a passionate Registered Nurse for its 60-bed skilled nursing facility in Canon City, Colorado. The facility has received accolades such as "800 Club" membership in 2025, a 5-Star CMS Rating for Quality Measures, and a 4.6 Google star rating. Life Care Centers of America is a privately owned, 47-year industry leader in healthcare with over 200 locations. The Registered Nurse will be an important member of the interdisciplinary team, delivering quality nursing care to patients to help them achieve their highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being, in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. This role involves evaluating patient needs through ongoing assessment and revising care plans based on changes in patient condition. Daily responsibilities include providing clinical supervision to CNAs and LPNs.
Requirements
- Nursing diploma (associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing)
- Currently licensed/registered in applicable State.
- Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment.
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation.
- CPR certification must remain current during employment.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year skilled nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality nursing care to patients through interpersonal contact.
- Provide care and services to allow patients to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
- Evaluate patient needs through ongoing assessment.
- Revise care plans based on changes in the patient’s condition.
- Provide clinical supervision to CNAs and LPNs on a daily basis.
- Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department.
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
- Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
- Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
