Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
About The Position
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room. This role requires a Michigan RN license, BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty is required. Experience with Epic EMR, Pyxis medication management system, GE bedside cardiac monitors & telemetry, Alaris Infusion systems, Cisco & Responder 5 communication devices, Maxi Sky patient lifts, and LifePak is preferred. Training will be provided for EMR, Pyxis, GE monitors, and Alaris pumps. Desired unit-specific skills include aseptic practice, patient monitoring (EKG, invasive pressure, B/P, SaO2, etc.), post-anesthesia care, drug dose calculation and administration, management of tubes (endotracheal, tracheostomies) and mechanically ventilated patients, and clinical competency in conscious sedation.
Requirements
- Michigan RN license

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room.
- Monitor patients, including EKG, invasive pressure, B/P, and SaO2.
- Care for patients in the post-anesthesia period.
- Calculate drug doses and administer medications based on physician orders.
- Manage tubes (endotracheal, tracheostomies) and patients on mechanical ventilation.
- Perform clinical duties related to conscious sedation.
- Utilize charting systems such as Epic EMR.
- Operate Pyxis medication management system.
- Use GE bedside cardiac monitors & telemetry.
- Operate Alaris Infusion systems.
- Utilize Cisco & Responder 5 communication devices.
- Operate Maxi Sky patient lifts.
- Use LifePak equipment.
