About The Position

Join Baylor The Heart Hospital Dallas as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac PCU and be part of something better! The patient population includes post cardiotomy, cardiology interventional, post vascular surgical/interventional, and advanced heart failure patients. This is a full-time position with a shift of 7a-7p, involving three 12-hour shifts per week and rotating weekends. Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of true, recent PCU RN experience.
Graduated from an Accredited Program in Nursing.
Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or within 30 days of hire or transfer).

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 2 years of RN experience (for sign-on bonus eligibility).

Responsibilities

Oversee patient care using a professional practice model.
Conduct patient assessments, recognizing health issues, and creating care plans.
Assess patient responses and adjust care plans to reach desired outcomes.
Build relationships, manage discomfort, and maintain professionalism in therapeutic connections with patients and families.
Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members, empowering them with knowledge for better healthcare choices.
Assess and document learning needs regularly.
