RN Labor and Delivery FT Nights
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Labor and Delivery department. This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week on the night shift (7pm-7am). The role involves direct and comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge, functioning as an on-shift team member to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Labor and Delivery department features eight labor and delivery suites, two triage bays, two operating rooms, and two recovery bays with wireless monitoring. Natural birthing options are available, and the department averages around 1,000 births annually.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience required.
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
- NRP certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
- ACLS certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
- S.T.A.B.L.E certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
Nice To Haves
- Previous L&D nursing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.
- Function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.
