About The Position
InterHealth Medical Staffing Solutions, a staffing division of Tampa General Hospital, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract at an Endoscopy Center. Tampa General Hospital is a large, comprehensive medical facility serving a significant portion of Florida and is affiliated with the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. This role offers higher base pay, generous shift differentials, and benefits for purchase. The position is part of a Magnet-designated nursing team and provides a schedule that fits your lifestyle. Opportunities for full-time or part-time conversion and contract extensions may be available. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specific division and be competent to work independently. The nurse will deliver nursing care under general supervision, following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines. Responsibilities include planning and implementing nursing care, documenting assessments, identifying and reporting situations needing intervention, formulating and communicating a goal-directed plan of care, and assuring patient rights. The role requires performing duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital and principles of quality improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience within the specific division being hired into.
- Deemed competent to work independently.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
- Prior Endoscopy, Operating Room, or procedural experience required.
- ICU/PACU experience required.
- BLS, ACLS and PALS required.
- Proficiency in Epic Optime Surgical documentation.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's in nursing (BSN) preferred.
