About The Position

We are hiring a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Emergency Department at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, TX. This is a full-time, night shift position. The role involves executing emergency care by delivering rapid, evidence-based ED nursing care and critical interventions for adult and pediatric populations in strict compliance with clinical protocols. You will manage care plans and documentation by implementing tailored emergency care plans, continuously monitoring and documenting acute status changes in fast-paced environments. Additionally, you will lead multidisciplinary coordination, serving as the primary liaison across trauma, pediatric, and specialized clinical teams to ensure seamless, well-coordinated patient care. You will also streamline the continuum of care by assessing acute discharge or transfer needs, coordinating with healthcare teams to facilitate safe, efficient patient transitions.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
