About The Position

Join EANM as a part-time Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR), providing exceptional surgical care in a specialty setting. This role is essential to patient safety, procedural efficiency, and surgical success. Work in a dynamic, high-performing operating room alongside skilled surgeons and anesthesia providers, in an environment that values innovation, teamwork, and continuous growth. The position is onsite and follows a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or major holidays.

Requirements

• Current New Mexico RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications; ACLS/BLS training is provided.
• Knowledge of AORN standards and surgical asepsis.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to prioritize in high-volume settings.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the operating room or outpatient surgery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub during ophthalmic and oculoplastic procedures.
• Support anesthesia induction, emergence, and airway management.
• Monitor for clinical changes and initiate emergency response when needed.
• Ensure proper sterile technique, instrument use, and room turnover.
• Accurately document care and administer medications according to protocols.
