Registered Nurse (RN) - Days
About The Position
Chicago Behavioral Hospital is seeking a motivated, dependable, and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional direct care and support to patients. The RN will assess, coordinate, and evaluate patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members, aligning with the nursing process and standards of care. This role involves actively engaging in the healthcare team, offering direct and indirect care to patients, families, and legal guardians, and continuously assessing patients' physical and psychological conditions. The position requires utilizing the nursing process in accordance with CBH's philosophy, objectives, values, mission, and core principles, while upholding a safe therapeutic environment. Collaboration as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team is essential, contributing to the development, implementation, and documentation of tailored goals and interventions based on patient strengths and psychiatric challenges.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required.
- Currently licensed to practice by the Illinois State Board of Nursing.
- CPR certification and management of aggressive behavior training within 30 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure.
- Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a psychiatric facility preferred.
