About The Position

Registered Nurse - Med Surg Part Time- Day Shift (5 - 12 hour shifts - bi-weekly) w/every 3rd weekend. Med Surg - This is a 55 Bed Med Surg Oncology, Hospital Unit. We're the inpatient Chemo unit. We have a hand-full of Chemo's every month. We do Chemo training after 6 months. We have in-patient Hospice. IV skills preferred. This is a fast pace unit that see's a heavy volume of admissions and discharges. Uses independent professional judgment, analytical skills, and the nursing process to provide a full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services to patients. Within the framework of the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care and Benner's Domains of Nursing Practice, demonstrates clinical competence; compassion and customer service orientation; focus on process and outcomes; and cost-consciousness when assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to patients.

Requirements

Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 months of hire date.
Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 months of hire date.
Graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.
