About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) on the General Medicine Unit (8 Ardmore East) plays a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. This involves delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The RN utilizes evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to create the safest patient environment and ensure the best patient experience across the continuum of care. The unit, with 26 beds, provides compassionate, evidence-based care for adults with complex, non-surgical illnesses, often involving multiple comorbidities, prioritizing dignity, independence, and holistic well-being. The team works collaboratively to deliver personalized treatment plans. Ambient Listening, a voice-activated documentation tool, is used to record and transcribe patient-nurse conversations in real-time to generate automated flowsheet documentation.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • At least one year RN experience
