About The Position
The Registered Nurse will work in the Surgical Trauma Cardiovascular ICU (STICU) at Deaconess Midtown, a Level II Trauma Center caring for complex and critically ill adult and pediatric patients. Patients include people with traumatic injuries, emergency surgeries, open heart recoveries, vascular procedures, neurosurgical cases, and advanced medical ICU needs. The unit uses advanced therapies such as ECMO, CRRT, bedside dialysis, and complex hemodynamic monitoring. The role calls for critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork in a fast-moving environment with varied challenges.
Requirements
- Active Indiana RN license or valid compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Care for critically ill adult and pediatric trauma patients.
- Provide ICU care for patients with traumatic injuries, emergency surgeries, open heart recoveries, vascular procedures, neurosurgical cases, and advanced medical ICU needs.
- Work with advanced therapies, including ECMO, CRRT, bedside dialysis, and complex hemodynamic monitoring.
- Use critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork in a fast-moving clinical environment.
