About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality, patient-centered care through the application of the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and professional nursing standards. The RN is accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. This role maintains responsibility and accountability for assigned patients, including oversight of delegated activities performed by Technical Nurses, Patient Care Associates, Sitters, and other support staff. The RN may also serve in a charge nurse capacity when assigned and is expected to provide care appropriate to the age and developmental needs of the patient population served. Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Less than one (1) year of related nursing experience required.
  • Current Florida Registered Nurse license, or eligibility for Florida RN licensure with confirmation of eligibility pending issuance upon receipt of Social Security Number.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required on the first day of employment.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient care responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient and family-centered care.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and healthcare technology systems.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving clinical practices, technology, and patient care needs.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to continuous learning and quality improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Nurses hired on or after June 14, 2017, must obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution within three (3) years of hire or transfer into the position.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • One (1) year of clinical nursing experience
  • Specialty nursing certification relevant to clinical practice area

Responsibilities
