About The Position
The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative environment with a strong interdisciplinary team and a patient-centered care model. Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the nurse uses evidence-based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies and procedures, and medical staff direction. The nurse applies the nursing process to develop a plan of care that meets the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and their families.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of the nursing process and customer service principles.
- Current Connecticut RN licensure.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current BLS certification or completion within the first three months of employment.
Nice To Haves
- National certification in the specialty preferred.
- Acute care hospital experience preferred.
- IV skills preferred.
- Secondary language skills preferred.
- ACLS strongly recommended for staff cross-trained to the designated areas.
