About The Position

Ascension Via Christi, St Francis is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Ortho Neuro Surgical Trauma specialty. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule. Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of compassionate, direct nursing care by following evidence-based protocols to ensure every patient receives safe and exceptional treatment.
• Advocate for patient wellness by continuously monitoring conditions and communicating vital updates to the care team, ensuring no detail in their recovery is overlooked.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care as the central point of contact between physicians and specialists, creating a seamless and unified healing environment.
• Drive successful patient transitions by proactively managing discharge planning, ensuring patients and their families are empowered and prepared for the next stage of their journey.
