About The Position

Provide, promote, and maintain quality patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures through education, standards of practice, professional growth, and collaboration with other multidisciplinary health care providers.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Previous clinical experience is reviewed for acceptability; no specific minimum is stated.
• A valid permanent Multi-State RN License from the state in which the candidate resides. Candidates holding an RN license from another Compact state must apply for and obtain a Multi-State RN License from their state of residence within 30 days.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR, to be obtained within 7 days of hire.
• American Heart Association ACLS and NIHSS, required within the orientation period for ICU/CCU, SICU, and CVICU.

Nice To Haves

• One year of telemetry experience preferred.
• CCRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and document a written plan of care within the specified timeframe.
• Perform patient interventions completely and proficiently, demonstrating age-specific competency for the population of patients served.
• Verify during hospitalization that orders are accurate, including medication reconciliation, appropriate scheduling of tests and procedures, preoperative data, and consent forms.
• Follow medication and IV Therapy policies, including patient identification, medication understanding and administration, and recognizing and reporting interactions.
• Appropriately monitor first-dose medications for adverse reactions.
• Interpret diagnostic data and take appropriate action when indicated, such as notifying a physician of critical lab values according to hospital protocol.
• Perform related duties as required.
