About The Position

United Energy Workers Healthcare is seeking Registered Nurses to provide in-home care to patients. This role offers flexible, independent work as a 1099 independent contractor, with approximately two hours of work per week needed. Nurses coordinate schedules directly with patients according to each patient’s plan of care, approved hours, and preferences. The role focuses on personalized, holistic care, including clinical services, education, assistance with daily activities, emotional support, and coordination with other care providers. The stated pay range is $32.00–$38.00 per hour.

Requirements

Valid, active RN license in the state of practice.
Willingness to travel to patients’ homes.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Current BLS Certification.
Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
Professional liability coverage is required.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Warm, empathetic approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide personalized, comprehensive care.
Educate patients and their families about health maintenance and disease prevention.
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, with dignity and respect.
Coordinate schedules directly with patients in alignment with their plan of care, approved hours, and preferences.
Monitor and promptly report changes in patients’ symptoms or behavior.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the treating physician.
Communicate with Case Managers, collaborating physicians, and specialists to coordinate care.
Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.
Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members.
Prepare clear clinical notes and charting.
