About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is the core of ProMedica’s world-class patient care team. By providing patient-centered care through sensitivity and respect for the diversity of human experience, ProMedica nurses are dedicated to improving health outcomes for our patients and for the communities we serve. As the coordinator of a patient’s plan of care, you will interact with the patient, families and the health care team through open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making. The RN will assess and formulate a nursing diagnosis, and plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan. In this position, you will work collaboratively with fellow nurses and support staff as you strive to achieve patient care goals. As a ProMedica RN, you will work to improve patient care, your work environment and patient and staff satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Current State license as a Registered Nurse
  • Current CPR training.
  • Specialty certifications as required by individual nursing units.
  • Twenty-five contact hours of continuing education within the 2-year period preceding the date of renewal.
  • At least 2 of these hours must be in pain and pain symptom management.
  • No more than 12 credit hours may be earned during a 24-hour period.
  • Completion of 2 hours of implicit bias training within the 5 years immediately preceding issuance of the license is required (for renewals after June 1, 2022).
  • For initial renewals completed after June 1, 2022, completion of one hour of implicit bias training is required for each year of license since June 1, 2021.
  • Once the initial renewal is completed, then 1 hour of implicit bias training will be required for each year of the current license cycle going forward.
