RN - Trauma & Surgical IMC F4/4
About The Position
UW Health is seeking an experienced inpatient Registered Nurse to provide care for acutely ill adult surgical and trauma patients at University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, an academic medical center and Level One Trauma Center. The position is on F4/4, a 26-bed step-down unit caring for both general-care and intermediate-care patients in a fast-paced environment. Nurses are integral members of a collaborative multidisciplinary team and advocate for quality patient care. The schedule is 90% FTE, working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with a two-in-six weekend rotation and required holiday rotation. Applicable shift differentials are $4 per hour for evening hours, $5 per hour for night hours, and $4.25 per hour for weekend hours. Requirements
- Six months of nursing experience, or current participation in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on the unit or a similar unit.
- Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact, required upon hire.
- Current CPR/BLS certification, required upon hire.
- ACLS certification within six months.
