About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Stepdown unit at Ascension St. Vincent Anderson. The position is full-time, working days from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm, including every third weekend and rotating holidays. The nurse will manage complex patient recovery journeys by continuously monitoring physiological changes and adapting care plans to ensure safety during the critical transition toward healing. They will advocate for patient needs by serving as the central coordinator between physicians, therapists, and specialists, ensuring a unified and high-quality approach to treatment. The nurse will execute clinical orders with precision and foresight, translating medical instructions into compassionate, hands-on care for patients with high-acuity needs. Additionally, they will facilitate a confident transition home by assessing discharge readiness and collaborating with the healthcare team to provide patients and families with the tools they need for a successful recovery.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
