About The Position

Urban Health Plan (UHP) is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join their Plaza del Sol Family Health Center in Corona, Queens. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing support and patient care in a family medicine practice, covering primary care and obgyn services. Requirements

Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Nursing is required.
NYS Registered Professional Nurse, required.
Bilingual English and Spanish full fluency is required.
Excellent communication skills, compassion, empathy, and team-driven attributes are essential.
Knowledge/training in electronic health records and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Triage patients and assist with their needs based on acuity.
Provide quality nursing care and medication administration.
Administer immunizations/vaccines to specified patients.
Monitor patient reactions and side-effects.
Assist the care team with pre-visit planning for high-risk patients.
Ensure implementation of plans of care.
Serve as a role-model and source of nursing guidance to medical assistants and phlebotomists.
Assist with prepping patients as needed and provide patient education.
Assist providers during examinations and treatments.
Ensure proper sterilization procedures using germicides, sterilizers, or autoclave.
Ensure departmental adherence to clinical policies and procedures.
Maintain health records by documenting patient contact and updating patient profiles.
Implement standing orders.
Check equipment, logs, and medical kits.
Assist with ordering medical supplies, medications, and vaccines.
