About The Position

Athenix Advanced Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Center is seeking an experienced perioperative Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in our state-of-the-art cosmetic surgery facility. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active RN licensure for AZ (or compact)
  • Minimum one year of nursing experience required
  • BLS and ACLS (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • OR/Circulator experience required; comfortable administering medications and supporting anesthesia
  • Excellent communication skills—able to support patients and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to meet the needs of the surgical schedule

Nice To Haves

  • Plastic surgery or outpatient surgery center experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Pre-Op: Check in patients, start IVs, obtain vitals, review medical history, ensure consents/labs/clearances are complete, provide education, and assist with pre-op photos and garment fittings.
  • OR Circulating: Circulate cosmetic surgery cases, prepare the sterile field when needed, support anesthesia, manage documentation, and coordinate communication with caregivers during procedures.
  • PACU Recovery: Monitor and recover patients post-operatively, manage airways and pain/nausea needs, perform dressing changes, and provide thorough post-op instructions.
  • Clinic Support: Perform follow-up visits (drains, sutures, incision care), assist with prescriptions, conduct point-of-care testing (pregnancy, nicotine/drug, glucose), and maintain accurate charting.
  • Team & Safety: Uphold infection control and medication administration standards, participate in inventory and supply management, support emergencies calmly and effectively (CPR, AED, crash cart), and contribute to a clean, safe clinical environment.
