About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides patient care and education based on each patient’s illness, symptoms, and course of treatment. The role manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and principles of primary nursing, in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Technical diploma/certificate in Nursing or an associate degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse license in Florida or an eligible compact state, required upon hire.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association, required upon hire.
• Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate (OCIC_ONS/ONCC), required within one year.
• Demonstrated nursing proficiency, knowledge, and skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, identify, and prioritize patient and family needs to provide quality care.
• Develop, discuss, and communicate each patient’s plan of care in collaboration with the care team.
• Safely deliver medications and treatments.
• Monitor and document patient responses, following safety policies and protocols, including patient identification and risk mitigation, to support a safe, individualized plan of care.
• Continuously assess patients, detect changes in condition, and communicate with appropriate care team members to support timely clinical decision-making.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
• Promote effective working relationships and contribute as part of a department or unit to meet goals and objectives.
• Maintain current documentation, licensure, certifications, required education, and competencies in accordance with unit scope of service and professional standards.
• Pursue professional growth and development.
