Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown Unit
About The Position
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medicine/Step Down Unit 1-10K. This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week on the day shift (7a-7p). The unit is a 24-bed step-down unit within a 569-bed tertiary care facility that houses the region's only Level I Trauma Center and burn trauma unit. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered care in a dynamic healthcare setting. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, delivering treatments, and supporting patients and families with education and compassionate service. The RN collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to monitor patient progress, make clinical adjustments, and advocate for the best patient outcomes, ensuring safety and adherence to evidence-based practices.
Requirements
- ADN required
- RN VA or Compact State license in good standing
- BLS certification
- New Grads and Experienced Nurses
