About The Position

CentraCare–Monticello is expanding its services and growing its team. The Registered Nurse will work on an LDRP birth center unit alongside midwives, OB/GYN physicians, Family Medicine physicians, an anesthesia team, and pediatricians to provide patient-centered care. The unit includes a newly remodeled water birthing suite and supports families in achieving their individual birth goals and having a positive, empowering experience. The unit provides inpatient and outpatient lactation consultations and hosts a Baby Café group for ongoing community lactation support. Lactation certification is preferred. There may also be an opportunity to assist in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Telehealth clinic, supporting high-risk patients through pregnancy and helping develop safe delivery plans and outcomes. This is a part-time position scheduled for 72 hours every two weeks. The schedule is straight nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., every third weekend, with rotating holidays.

Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited School of Professional Nursing or higher.
Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Labor and delivery experience.
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Nice To Haves

Lactation certification.

Responsibilities

Provide patient-centered nursing care in the LDRP birth center in collaboration with midwives, physicians, anesthesia professionals, and pediatricians.
Support families in achieving their individual birth goals and creating a positive, empowering birth experience.
Provide or support inpatient and outpatient lactation consultations and ongoing lactation support through the Baby Café program.
If desired, assist in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Telehealth clinic to support high-risk patients during pregnancy and help achieve safe delivery plans and outcomes.
