About The Position

Harbor Oaks Hospital, New Baltimore's leading Mental Health and Addiction Treatment Center is seeking passionate Registered Nurses (RN) to work at our facility in New Baltimore, MI. This is a full-time position with shift availability for both Day and Night shifts, involving 3-12 hour shifts with weekend rotation. The hourly rate ranges from $39-$44.33, with additional differentials for night shifts on weekdays and weekends. The role involves assessing patients' behavioral and physical health needs, delivering compassionate, trauma-informed nursing care, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, administering medications, monitoring patient status, educating patients and families, maintaining medical records, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a current, unrestricted RN license (or eligibility to practice) in the state of employment.
  • At least one year of nursing experience; behavioral health, psychiatric, or substance use treatment experience strongly preferred.
  • Current CPR certification and willingness to complete de‑escalation and restraint training (provided upon hire, if needed).
  • First Aid certification, as required by state or facility guidelines.
  • Strong clinical judgment, attention to documentation, and the ability to remain calm and therapeutic in behavioral health settings.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients’ behavioral and physical health needs and deliver compassionate, trauma‑informed nursing care.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing treatment plans throughout the continuum of care.
  • Safely administer medications, including behavioral health and detox protocols, with accurate documentation and controlled substance tracking.
  • Monitor patient status on an ongoing basis and communicate significant behavioral or medical changes to providers and the care team.
  • Educate patients and families, maintain compliant medical records, and adhere to nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish therapeutic, professional relationships while collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team to support patient recovery.
