About The Position

ChristianaCare, recognized as one of “America’s Best Hospitals” by U.S. News & World Report and a top 5 Best Large Healthcare Employer by Forbes, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Wilmington Emergency Department. This facility, a Wilmington landmark since 1890, has been fully modernized and serves as a Level III Trauma Center. The 37-bed department handles medical, cardiac, and traumatic emergencies. Requirements

• BSN required or commitment to obtaining within three years of date of hire.
• At least one year of experience in a med/surgical unit or ED required.
• BLS required.
• ALCS strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a Level III Trauma Center Emergency Department.
• Manage medical, cardiac, and traumatic emergencies.
• Work in an Emergency Department with a helipad and aero-medical transport capabilities.
• Participate as a trauma hospital in the Delaware Trauma System.
• Commit to a 2-year tenure on the overnight shift to receive a sign-on bonus.
• Fulfill weekend and holiday requirements as per company practice.
