Registered Nurse - Full-time, Neuro/Cardiac Progressive
About The Position
Join our Neuro Progressive Care Unit (Neuro PCU) and care for complex neurological and cardiac patients in a fast-paced, specialized environment. Whether you're a new graduate building your foundation or an experienced RN ready to expand your clinical expertise, our team provides the support, resources, and opportunities to help you grow. Our unit provides care within two nationally recognized areas of specialty: Level 3 NAEC Epilepsy Center (Advanced epilepsy monitoring, evaluation, and specialized neurological care) and DNV-Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center (Providing advanced stroke care with a high volume of regional interventions). Our nurses care for patients with complex neurological and cardiac conditions, including Stroke & post-craniectomy patients, Spinal surgeries & lumbar drains, Cardiac monitoring & interventions, Cardiac drips, Stress tests & cardiac catheterizations, Cardioversions & ablations, Pacemakers, and Carotid stenting. You'll play an important role in coordinating neurological and cardiac care, including ensuring the cardiac needs of stroke patients are appropriately monitored and managed.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program.
- For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).
- Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
- BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
- FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License
